Gee, the reviewer is a tad eccentric. It’s the age-old question: do movies promote real-life violence? I think that our subconscious minds are highly susceptible to all forms of external stimuli. Maybe violent movies won’t make people go out and kill, but they might make them a little more angry and paranoid. I stopped watching TV a while ago. I’m happy to say that I don’t miss the brainwashing commercials and negative news programs.

@womby28 lol I was going to mention that too, but my post was already getting too long. I’m sure she’d love to be as good-looking and successful as Uma Thurman for example. See how she gets personal right after Quentin mentions her (Uma). And the fact that she says “You’re doing well, obviously” seems to me quite an act of jealousy, especially with that ridiculous costume she’s wearing. As if she was playing some big artist – which is definately not working for her. Tarantino scored big time
To be fair, Quentin was acting like an asshole about it, but I love how he acually understands that children see these movies, love them, EASILY distinquish them from reality, and have a great time…I am 13 years old, have seen most of Tarantino’s movies. I sat back and enjoyed the mindless violence when the director demaned it, and enjoyed the great acting and engaging story when he demanded that. Maybe he’s not a genious, but he knows who his target audience is and how to appeal to them.
