There are no doubts that airline travel is the fastest way to manage any distance. Today, within 48 hours you can be anywhere in the world. However, due to enormous growth in all fields, including competition, during the last 10 years, travelling has become more expensive in terms of time and money.
The main dilemma is that when you can afford to travel, you do not have time and when you have time, you do not have money. So, in the end most of the people stay home on holidays and watch television instead of travelling.
However, there are several ways how you can earn free flights during the year and book the reward flights whenever you have time, even if you do not have much money. Of course, I am speaking about frequent flyer programs.
Airlines with collaboration with its partners allow you to earn free flight, even if you have never flown before. You can become of a member of basic level of any of these programs and start to earn on the same day. Below I have tilted 7 steps toward reward flight without flying.
Step – 1, apply for a credit card
Today everybody is using credit cards, so why not to apply for a new one? You will earn significant frequent flyer miles just for approval and then 3 – 5 miles for each dollar you will spend. By using the same credit card for the next steps you can double the amount, which you will receive for each dollar spend.
Step – 2, apply for a dining program
Dining program is one of the easiest way to acquire frequent flyer miles. In United States there are seven airline programs, which participate in Rewards Network program. It is leading dining rewards programs in North America. The way how you get miles is by dining in networks restaurants and bars, by visiting clubs and two programs even offers hotel booking. You will receive 3-5 miles per each dollar you spend via this program.
Important facts are that Reward Network has only around 3 million members. However, three biggest programs – American’s AAdvantage, United’s Mileage Plus and Delta’s SkyMiles, has more than 20 million members each. So, why all these people do not use the opportunity? Maybe they all do not dine in restaurants?
Step – 3, use Shopping Mall
Every time you buy something for home, for yourself or present for a friend, use the shopping mall as the first stop. In airline shopping malls, you will find around 500 different merchants, including the most favorite.
Step – 4, home or auto insurance
Request free no-obligation quote on your auto or homeowner insurance and earn miles for it. It will take 2 minutes and, depending on a program, you can earn up to 2000 frequent flyer miles.
Step – 5, free surveys
You can participate in the free surveys and earn miles. Dedicate just 10-20 minutes per day, and you can earn a good amount of flyer miles during the year.
Step – 6, subscribe to newspapers and magazines
If you subscribe to newspapers, then you can use frequent flyer program and earn miles for your next airline travel experience.
Step – 7, other options
As a seventh step I would like to include other options, as each person can be different needs. If you buy home or take mortgage, you can use program to obtain miles. If you buy new cell phone, or you watch DVD movies at home, you can use frequent flyer program and earn miles for renting them.
